Meet the Feed2Succeed Founders

My name is Caroline Raquel, and I am a senior at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. I am currently enrolled in the Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology and am pursuing a dual degree in bioengineering and finance. I am also a student athlete on the varsity volleyball team and am a member of the Penn Philippine Association. I have two dogs named Freddie (a Bischon Frise) and Gio (a Corgi), whom I love unconditionally. I enjoy watching TV and listening to country music. Co-Founding Feed2Succeed during my time at Marlborough School was a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience. Though I remotely manage F2SF during college, I am hopeful that this program has a bright future ahead of it, so that we can impact as many lives as possible.

My name is Carmina Raquel, and I am one of the co-founders of Feed2Succeed. I am a sophomore on the University of Pennsylvania varsity volleyball team and look forward to joining Caroline not only on the court but also in bringing F2S to college. I am enrolled in the Life Sciences & Management Program at Penn. I enjoy cooking, singing in the car, and spending quality time with my sisters and friends. I also love traveling around the world with my family. At school, my favorite subjects are mathematics and science. I am truly inspired by this feeding program’s progress over the past year. I look forward to making even more improvements in the future. I am currently the president of our Marlborough chapter and serve as the ambassador to coordinate with Tiffany and Caroline while they are away at college.

Hi, I am Tiffany Sato, a senior at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. I am originally from Palos Verdes, CA. I am a Human and Organizational Development and Medicine, Health, and Society double major with minors in Business and Special Education. During my free time, I love dancing ballet and playing golf. I have been dancing for the past 13 years and was a member of the Marlborough Dance Company, Dance Dimensions and played on the Marlborough Varsity Golf Team. As an intern at Pediatric Therapy Network, I work with children with special needs and love what I do. Although I co-founded F2SF during my high school career at Marlborough School, I am so excited to continue my journey to improving nutrition and feeding in the Philippines still while attending college. My vision is to leave a legacy about who we are and what we do.

My name is Juliana Fong, and I attend Stanford University. I was elected as the Chair of the City of South Pasadena Youth Commission and the Head Captain of my high school’s speech and debate team. I continue to use my advocacy skills to speak up at City Council meetings and make change. I am particularly fascinated by health policy issues and have authored an article on hunger and food insecurity that was published in YM2 Young Mensan Magazine.

Additionally, I was appointed as the leader of my high school’s Filipinx club, which allowed me to fully embrace my Filipinx heritage and give back to my community. When I first visited the Philippines, I was astonished to see so many malnourished children living without adequate food or shelter, and I wanted to make it my mission to offer aid in any way that I could. Thus, as an Executive Board Member and Chapter Founder of Feed2Succeed, I am excited to play an active role in helping those in need.
